Cardi B Defends Relationship with Stefon Diggs Amid Fan Backlash

Cardi B has publicly addressed fans criticizing her relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs. In a video shared on December 29, 2024, the rapper urged critics to “calm down,” expressing frustration over what she perceives as excessive negativity surrounding her romance. This response comes as she prepares for her upcoming “Little Miss Drama Tour,” revealing the personal stress she is under.

In her video, Cardi B stated, “Y’all been dragging me for three or four days. And y’all been a little bit too mean.” She challenged her detractors by asking, “What do y’all want me to do? Y’all want me to leave my man and f*** yours?” The Grammy-winning artist emphasized her desire for a peaceful start to the new year as she balances her family life and professional commitments.

As Cardi prepares for her tour, she highlighted the demands of rehearsals, which will require her to spend long hours away from her children. “I have to rehearse for 10 to 12 hours a day for tour. There are so many elements of production that I’m missing for tour. I’m already super stressed out,” she explained.

Cardi B and Stefon Diggs, who plays as a wide receiver for the New England Patriots, welcomed their first child together, a son, in November 2024. Cardi also shares three children—daughters Kulture, 7, and Blossom, 15 months, and son Wave, 4—with estranged husband Offset. In an interview with Gayle King for CBS Mornings, she confirmed that she and Diggs are expecting another child, expressing confidence in their partnership. “I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong and powerful,” she noted.

Cardi B has hinted that her new song “Safe,” featured on her latest album, reflects her feelings about Diggs. “He just makes me feel safe and very confident,” she said, indicating the supportive nature of their relationship, especially during stressful periods.

While navigating her personal life, Cardi B has also addressed external allegations regarding Diggs’ past. A paternity test confirmed that Diggs is the father of a baby girl born in April to model Aileen Lopera. Cardi responded to speculation surrounding this situation directly, stating, “That’s your baby daddy, bitch? That’s my baby daddy too,” affirming her intention to handle the matter privately.

As she embarks on her tour, Cardi B expressed a wish for her fans to focus on positivity. “I want y’all to come to my tour and enjoy yourself with me. Don’t be dragging me. It’s enough,” she said, urging fans to support her as she navigates both her career and family life.

Cardi B’s candid remarks highlight the pressures of fame and the public’s scrutiny of personal relationships in the entertainment industry. As she prepares for a busy year ahead, her message resonates with many who face similar challenges in balancing work and personal commitments.
