Glen Powell Reveals Wardrobe Mishap During Stunt Filming

Actor Glen Powell recently shared an amusing yet embarrassing incident that occurred while filming a stunt for his upcoming dystopian action thriller, The Running Man. During a round-table discussion featuring fellow actors Josh Brolin and Lee Pace, Powell recounted a wardrobe malfunction that left him exposed during a crucial scene.

Unexpected Exposure During a Stunt

In an interview on Entertainment Tonight, Powell discussed a scene where he was required to rappel down a building. He humorously revealed that he was wearing minimal clothing, describing it as “a marble sack” under a towel. “I’m wearing a pouch under, and then I’m wearing a towel around it,” he explained. The actor candidly admitted that he was unaware of the crew and onlookers inside the building as he descended.

Co-star Josh Brolin couldn’t resist joking about the situation, suggesting that the crew would have had a front-row seat to the mishap. He light-heartedly mimicked Powell’s position, eliciting laughter from the group and adding to the levity of the moment.

Challenging Conditions in Bulgaria

In a separate conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Powell reflected on the filming conditions which added to his discomfort. He mentioned that he had agreed to the towel scene during the summer, but the shoot took place in February in Bulgaria, where temperatures were notably low. “Being in a towel in front of a crew is one thing, but being in a towel in February in frigid Bulgaria, it’s a sight,” he remarked, emphasizing the harsh reality of filming under such conditions.

The Running Man, directed by Edgar Wright, is set to hit theaters in the United States on November 14, 2025. Despite the wardrobe mishap, Powell’s enthusiasm for the film remains high, and it promises to be an engaging action thriller.
