Netflix House Opens in Dallas: Immersive Experiences Await Fans

The much-anticipated Netflix House officially opens in Dallas on December 11, 2023, offering fans an innovative way to interact with popular shows and movies from the streaming giant. Located at Galleria Dallas, this permanent exhibit spans over 100,000 square feet and features immersive, story-driven experiences based on hit titles such as Wednesday, Squid Game, and Stranger Things.

Dallas marks the second U.S. city to host a Netflix House, following the inaugural site in Philadelphia. Prior to the public opening, a VIP event took place on December 9, welcoming media, influencers, and celebrities, including David Harbour and Cara Buono from Stranger Things, as well as cast members from other popular series like Virgin River.

Visitors can expect a vibrant atmosphere, starting at the entrance where a grand staircase adorned with artwork from various shows invites guests to take memorable selfies. Entry to Netflix House is free, but the two main experiential rooms—Stranger Things: Escape the Dark and Squid Game: Survive the Trials—require tickets priced at $39 per person. Each room offers a unique interactive adventure, taking approximately one hour to complete. Participants in the Squid Game room can engage in five different challenges, including the well-known Red Light, Green Light game, while those in the Stranger Things room embark on a search-and-rescue mission for three missing characters.

As visitors ascend the staircase, they encounter Netflix Bites, a dining area featuring a full bar and restaurant. The menu includes dishes inspired by various shows, such as the Red Bite, Green Bite (chicken bites with different sauces), and the Emily’s Italian Fling Salad, which nods to the series Emily in Paris. Another highlight is the Huntr/x Power Up Ssam, a grilled pork dish that celebrates the K-Pop phenomenon.

In a separate area, Netflix RePLAY offers a nostalgic twist with arcade games reimagined for Netflix fans. Guests can participate in interactive challenges, including a tug of war inspired by Squid Game, a Bridgerton-themed ball maze, and a Floor Is Lava game.

A gift shop within the venue stocks a variety of merchandise, including T-shirts, cups, keychains, and replica props from Netflix’s most popular franchises. With the potential for Netflix to acquire Warner Bros. Pictures, the venue may expand its offerings to include characters and themes from additional iconic properties such as DC Comics and Casablanca in the future.

Overall, Netflix House promises to be a must-visit destination for fans, combining entertainment and dining in a unique setting that celebrates the streaming service’s diverse programming.
