Unlock Cooperative Play: How to Use GameShare in Pokémon Pokopia

The recently released Pokémon Pokopia for the Nintendo Switch 2 introduces a GameShare feature that allows players to enjoy the game with friends. However, the cooperative aspect is somewhat restricted, only enabling teamwork in designated areas rather than throughout the entire game.

To access the GameShare feature in Pokémon Pokopia, players must progress until they reach a location known as Palette Town. This area is located after the Withered Wasteland and is integral to activating the GameShare capability. Players will naturally arrive there as they advance through the game, guided by a character named Squitle who instructs them to break through a wall adjacent to the Pokémon Center in the Withered Wasteland.

Upon reaching Palette Town, players will encounter a console at the Pokémon Center. Interacting with this console allows players to initiate the GameShare process. After speaking with an Eevee that appears, players should select the Link Play option followed by the “Invite others to visit” choice. The GameShare option is exclusive to this location; it will not appear on consoles in other areas of the game.

Once at this stage, players can decide whether to connect with a nearby player or use GameChat for online interaction. For the second player, whether using a Switch 1 or Switch 2, they must navigate to the Home screen and select the GameShare icon located in the bottom row. Notably, the original Nintendo Switch does not support this game, making the GameShare function the only way for those using the earlier model to join in.

While the GameShare feature enhances the social aspect of Pokémon Pokopia, it is essential to remember that it is limited to Palette Town. Players should plan their gameplay accordingly, ensuring they reach this hub before inviting friends to explore the game together.
