Discover New Fitness Centers Opening in Sugar Land and Missouri City

The fitness landscape in the Sugar Land and Missouri City areas is set to expand significantly in 2025 and 2026, with several new facilities catering to diverse fitness interests. From pickleball to yoga, residents will soon have access to a range of options designed to meet various fitness needs and preferences.

New Facilities Open in 2025

One of the standout additions is the 24 Hour Pickle, a facility that opened in early February 2025 at 11717 S. Hwy. 6, Sugar Land. This venue, operating around the clock, features eight courts for both competition and training. In addition to the courts, members can enjoy amenities such as a shop for equipment, a sauna, and a snack bar. Other recreational options include cornhole, spikeball, ping pong, billiards, and foosball, making it a comprehensive hub for sport and leisure.

Another notable establishment is Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu, located in the Commons at Lake Olympia shopping center. Opened on March 15, 2025, this international Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy offers training for both adults and children, starting from age four. The academy caters to all skill levels, with instructors who have diverse backgrounds, including some with experience in the UFC. This facility emphasizes both group classes and private lessons, ensuring personalized training for each participant.

The Imperial Park Recreation Center also saw a recent upgrade with the addition of a new cardio and weight room, which opened on May 12, 2025. Funded by the Sugar Land 4B Corp. at a cost of $168,745, this facility includes state-of-the-art cardio and weight equipment. Annual memberships are priced at $12.75 for residents and $191 for non-residents, making it accessible for the community. Besides strength training options, the center offers basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts, along with exercise classes.

Upcoming Openings in 2026

As the fitness scene continues to evolve, Keep Fit Yoga Pilates has already made its mark with its opening on July 27, 2025. This boutique wellness studio offers a variety of yoga, Pilates, and aerial fitness classes suitable for all ages and skill levels. Founder Bella Fan highlighted that the studio focuses on strength, flexibility, and inner balance, providing both small group and private sessions for individualized attention.

Another anticipated addition is Retro Fitness, which began welcoming members on December 2, 2025. Known for its affordable pricing and innovative fitness programs, this facility has more than 200 locations across the United States. Members can take advantage of group classes, personalized training, red light therapy, and a smoothie bar in a welcoming environment that promotes relaxation and recovery.

Finally, the upcoming Ace Pickleball Club, set to open in early 2026 at 19890 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, will feature 12 professional-grade cushioned courts. This membership-based club, which has rapidly expanded across the country, will offer open play, court reservations, tournaments, and group instruction, catering to the growing interest in pickleball.
