The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station is currently accepting applications for its Deputy Explorer Program, a unique opportunity aimed at young adults aged 14 to 20. The program focuses on career development and education, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Participants will not only develop essential skills such as leadership, responsibility, and compassion, but they will also engage in community service as volunteers.

According to a recent announcement from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, the Deputy Explorer Program offers participants hands-on exposure to law enforcement careers. Program Details and Application Process

The Explorer Academy is set to take place every Saturday for 18 weeks, starting on February 7, 2024, and concluding on June 6, 2024. Sessions will be held at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
