Engineering Comes Alive at Kentucky Science Center on Feb. 20-21

The Kentucky Science Center will host its annual Engineering Days on February 20 and 21, showcasing the vital role of engineering in everyday life. This event will feature local and regional engineering professionals conducting hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities designed to engage students and families in various engineering disciplines.

From 10:00 to 14:00 each day, visitors will have the unique opportunity to meet engineers and explore potential career pathways. The event will cover a wide array of fields, including aerospace, biomedical innovation, infrastructure, utilities, and manufacturing. Participants can expect live demonstrations and engaging STEM activities throughout the exhibit spaces.

Many esteemed organizations will contribute to Engineering Days. Partners include the Air Force Band, GE Aerospace, UPS, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the University of Louisville Speed School Student Council. The event also involves community groups such as the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana and the Society of Women Engineers Kentuckiana.

Visitors will witness engineering tools and materials in action, as well as participate in a variety of STEM activities. All activities during Engineering Days are included with general admission, making it an accessible event for all.
