Annual Arts & Crafts Show Moves to New Venue, Expands Offerings

URGENT UPDATE: The Annual Friends of the Conant Public Library Arts & Crafts Show is set to take place at a new, more spacious location this year, providing shoppers with enhanced access to handmade holiday gifts. The event will be held on Saturday, November 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Houghton Elementary and Chocksett Middle Schools in Sterling, MA.

This popular event, traditionally hosted at the First Church in Sterling, has gained significant traction over the years, prompting organizers to secure a venue that accommodates over 50 vendors. “The new venue allows space for even more artists and craftspeople,” said Beth Cyr, chairperson of the craft fair. Shoppers can expect a wide array of high-quality, handmade items, perfect for holiday gifting.

Returning artisans will showcase an impressive variety of products, including alpaca goods, aromatherapy products, intricate baskets, beach glass art, unique skincare items, candles, and much more. Exciting new offerings this year include maple syrup, pet portraits, specialty olive oils, decoupage items, and custom wreaths.

In addition to shopping, attendees can enjoy beloved traditions such as the bake sale, cheese sale, raffle, and a lunch café, all continuing in the new venue. Admission is just $2, with proceeds supporting programs at the Conant Public Library. Each shopper will receive a Passport to be stamped at three locations for a chance to win a prize.

Co-sponsored by All One Credit Union, this year’s fair promises to be a highlight of the holiday season. Although vendor spaces are currently full, interested artisans can email Beth Cyr at [email protected] to join a waiting list for future opportunities.
