The initiative is a collaboration with Lowe’s and Full Court Peace, addressing the desperate need for a revitalized playground that has become a safety concern for students. “We really just wanted the community to know that we see them,” said Kimberly Stroud, who is also the foundation’s president. The Stroud family has recognized the significant gap in resources for the children, many of whom have been asking for improvements for over two years.
Inside the school, students have displayed artwork and messages of gratitude, reflecting their excitement for the upcoming transformation. The existing playground is outdated and unsafe, lacking the necessary funds for repairs. This remodel represents a vital lifeline for the children, providing them with a place to play and thrive.

The revamped playground will feature swing sets, a jungle gym, a science garden, and a race track, among other exciting elements. “We could never have done this without Lowe’s,” Kimberly added. “They brought resources and volunteers that made this project possible.”
