County Behavioral Health Navigators to Visit Los Gatos Library Jan. 6

UPDATE: A member of the Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Navigator team will be at the Los Gatos Library on January 6, 2024, offering crucial support for residents seeking assistance with behavioral health issues. This urgent visit provides an opportunity for individuals to receive personalized guidance and connect to vital mental health resources, including support for substance use and suicide prevention.

The behavioral health navigators will operate on a drop-in basis, available on a first-come, first-served schedule. Residents unable to attend in person can reach out via the helpline at 1-800-704-0900 or email [email protected] for immediate support.

On January 5, 2024, the library will also host a weekly gathering for needlework and textile art enthusiasts. Individuals of all skill levels are encouraged to bring their projects and materials to collaborate, learn, and make connections within the community. This enriching event fosters creativity and social engagement among participants.

In addition, the New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU) is offering free workshops to create accordion books from Thursdays to Sundays through February 1. These workshops, inspired by artist Jody Alexander, allow participants to learn how to fold and glue pages, culminating in a unique 12-space book designed for reflection or gifting. The event is hosted at 106 E. Main St., making it accessible for those interested in exploring their artistic side.

These initiatives highlight the community’s commitment to mental health and creative expression, providing essential resources to improve well-being and foster artistic talents.
