URGENT UPDATE: The holiday season kicks off with the enchanting “Nutcracker Ballet Story Time” at the Townsend Public Library on Tuesday, November 25, 2023, at 6 p.m. Families are invited to immerse themselves in the magic of the holidays as dancers from the North Central Youth Ballet (NCYB) perform captivating routines from the iconic ballet, all while dressed in stunning festive costumes.
This mesmerizing event, located at 12 Dudley Road, Townsend, promises to be a delightful experience for children and their families. As the dancers bring the story to life, a narrator will recite the beloved tale, ensuring an unforgettable evening filled with holiday cheer.
The North Central Youth Ballet, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing young dancers with professional ballet experiences, is known for uniting talent from various studios to deliver a collaborative community performance. Co-founders and directors Karen Brown and Megan Simisky emphasize the importance of nurturing young talent and promoting artistry within the community.
In addition to the story time, NCYB will present their full production of “The Nutcracker” on stage at the North Middlesex Regional High School on December 5, 2023, at 6 p.m., December 6, 2023, at noon, and December 6, 2023, at 6 p.m.
