Houston Police Charge Man After Fatal Attack on Homeless Man

UPDATE: A 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with the fatal attack of a homeless man in Houston. The incident occurred just after 1 p.m. Tuesday in front of a store located in the 10800 block of South Post Oak.

Authorities report that a 56-year-old homeless man was assaulted and later died at a nearby hospital. Witnesses say he was approached by the suspect, later identified as Mannly Dolphus, who knocked him to the ground. The suspect reportedly arrived in a silver sedan, indicating a targeted attack.

The Houston Police Department (HPD) has confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The victim was found unresponsive at the scene and succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to the hospital.
