UPDATE: The LOVB Nebraska volleyball court has been successfully installed at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island, Nebraska, just hours before the team’s highly anticipated match this evening. A crew from Omaha completed the installation of the court, designed with the same specifications as the one used at Baxter Arena.
The court features TeraFlex, a half-inch-thick rubberized surface that provides enhanced support for athletes. “Athletes play on a playing surface called the TeraFlex, which is a rubberized surface that is a little bit gentler on the muscles and the joints when they’re landing,” said Mo Mozena, event manager for LOVB Nebraska. This innovative surface aims to reduce the risk of injury, ensuring players can perform at their best.
In addition to the court, the Heartland Events Center has also added a temporary video board to enhance the viewing experience for fans, featuring highlights and replays throughout the match.
Fans are eager for the action, with Local 4’s pregame show kicking off at 6 p.m. and a live streaming broadcast starting at 6:30 p.m. The match itself will tip off at 7 p.m. on sister station 10/11.
As excitement builds, authorities encourage fans to tune in early to catch all the pre-game festivities and analysis. The atmosphere is set to be electric as the LOVB Nebraska team takes the court tonight, showcasing the new playing surface for the very first time.
