Fidji Simo, the CEO of applications at OpenAI, described ChatGPT Health as a significant advancement towards transforming ChatGPT into a personal super-assistant. “ChatGPT Health is another step toward turning ChatGPT into a personal super-assistant that can support you with information and tools to achieve your goals across any part of your life,” Simo stated in a recent post.
According to OpenAI, health-related inquiries are among the most prevalent uses of ChatGPT, with over 230 million users worldwide asking health and wellness questions each week. This indicates a growing reliance on digital tools for health management.
Collaboration with Medical Professionals
The development of ChatGPT Health involved collaboration with over 260 physicians, ensuring that the tool is informed by medical expertise. The feature includes enhanced privacy protections, such as purpose-built encryption and isolation for health data, addressing concerns about data security in health applications.
ChatGPT Health operates in a dedicated space within the chatbot, ensuring that health conversations, files, and connected applications are segregated from other interactions.
