Beloved Matriarch Mary L. Bowman Passes Away at 99

Mary L. Bowman, a cherished matriarch, passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 99. She is remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her family. Mary is survived by her children, Ron and Gloria (Phil) Murillo, along with her grandsons, Anthony (Danielle) Murillo and Ron Jr., seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her sister Lois, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, also mourn her loss.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, her son Dennis, granddaughter Cissy, and her brother Bud. For the last few years, she resided at Marian Cerenity Care in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she received compassionate support from the staff and her family.

Celebration of Life Scheduled for March

A celebration of Mary’s life will take place on Saturday, March 7, at 11 AM at O’Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, located at 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul. Family and friends are invited to honor her memory and legacy during this occasion. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband, Tony, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Mary’s family expressed gratitude for the love and care she received from her grandson, Tony, and her niece, Kathy, during her final years. Their support was a source of comfort for Mary, who valued the connections she maintained with her loved ones.

As a matriarch, Mary L. Bowman leaves behind a legacy enriched by her family ties and the love she nurtured throughout her life.
