Community Gathers for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Square Dance

On December 7, the Santa Clarita Sierra Hillbillies Square and Round Dance Club will host a special event to commemorate Pearl Harbor Day. The dance will take place from 14:00 to 16:30 at the Valencia Marketplace in Stevenson Ranch, California. This gathering aims to honor the significance of the day while bringing the community together for an enjoyable afternoon of social dancing.

Phil Farmer will lead the square dance, providing both social square dance calls and tips for participants. The event welcomes all attendees, encouraging them to dress in military attire to pay tribute to those who served, though casual dress is also encouraged.

The cost to participate is $12 per person, making it an accessible event for families and friends alike. This initiative not only serves as a way to remember a pivotal moment in history but also fosters community spirit through the joy of dance.

For those interested in joining this memorable occasion, further details can be obtained by calling 661-262-9525, emailing [email protected], or visiting the official website at www.sierrahillbillies.org.

As the dance approaches, local residents are encouraged to come together and partake in this unique blend of remembrance and celebration.
