Dylan Efron Discusses Zac’s Absence from DWTS Season 34
Dylan Efron has shared insights regarding the absence of his brother, renowned actor Zac Efron, from the live audience of Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) during its current season. Despite expectations that Zac would be present to support Dylan, he has not yet appeared on the show this season.
In a recent interview with Extra following the latest episode of DWTS, Dylan explained that while Zac has not attended the show in person, he has been a source of consistent support. “Hey, he’s doing his thing,” Dylan remarked, suggesting that Zac’s commitments in the entertainment industry may be the reason for his absence. The Efron family, however, has been present in the audience, with Dylan noting, “They were front and center” this week.
Dylan also mentioned his young half-sister, Olivia Efron, who expressed delight after her dance with him during the show’s Dedication Night last week. “Olivia is still on cloud nine. She’s back in dance classes and she’s crushing it,” Dylan said, emphasizing the joy the experience brought to her. He reflected on his unexpected role as an older brother to Olivia, who is just five years old. “I wasn’t expecting to be a big brother. She’s everything to me. I want to show her to live her life with confidence,” he added.
Meanwhile, Zac Efron remains engaged in multiple film projects, which could explain his absence from the show. He is set to star in upcoming films directed by Jody Hill and Nicholas Stoller, titled Famous and Judgment Day, respectively.
