Epiphone Launches Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton and Riviera Models

Epiphone has unveiled two new signature models, the Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton and the Bonehead Riviera, designed for rock icons Gem Archer and Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, respectively. Both guitars pay tribute to the artists’ musical journeys and their long-standing relationship with the brand. The announcement comes as both musicians gear up for the highly anticipated Oasis 2025 tour, marking a significant moment in the current revival of live music.

Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton Features

The Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton captures the essence of Archer’s iconic sound, which he developed while performing with Oasis and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. Archer recalls, “The Epiphone Sheraton first came into my world when I borrowed Noel’s for Oasis tours and recording.” He expresses excitement about this new model, stating, “It’s got a ring and a clang to it, with loads of definition and clarity that I haven’t found in any other model.”

This semi-hollowbody guitar features a five-ply layered maple/poplar construction with a maple centerblock, which enhances sustain and resistance to feedback. The design includes a comfortable one-piece mahogany neck with a 60s C profile, topped with a rosewood fretboard adorned with mother-of-pearl block and abalone triangle inlays. The Masterbilt Sheraton is available in both right- and left-handed versions, making it accessible to a wider range of players.

Additionally, the guitar is equipped with high-quality USA-made Gibson Mini Humbucker pickups, ensuring a rich, powerful sound. The attention to detail extends to its gold hardware and Vintage Gloss finish, providing both aesthetic appeal and durability. Each Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton comes with a hardshell case, ensuring protection during transport.

Bonehead Riviera and Live Music Enthusiasm

Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs also shared his enthusiasm for the new Bonehead Riviera model, which is rooted in his deep connection to the Epiphone brand. He stated, “Epiphone Rivieras have been with me from the early rehearsals at the Boardwalk in Manchester all the way up to those historic shows at Knebworth.” Arthurs continues to use his original 1984 Riviera, underscoring the importance of this instrument in his musical legacy.

Lee Bartram, Head of Commercial and Marketing EMEA at Gibson, added, “2025 is turning out to be quite the year for live music, and we’re thrilled to play a small part in paying tribute to one of the greatest reunions of the 21st century!” He reminisced about the impact of seeing Archer perform with his signature Cherry Red Epiphone Sheraton, noting how it inspired his own journey with the brand.

Both models reflect Epiphone’s commitment to craftsmanship and quality, building on the brand’s rich history in the music industry. As Archer and Arthurs prepare for the 2025 tour, fans eagerly anticipate the sounds of these new instruments, which promise to evoke nostalgia while delivering modern performance.

The introduction of the Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton and Bonehead Riviera underscores Epiphone’s dedication to honoring musical legacies while appealing to new generations of guitarists. As live music gains momentum, these guitars will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in the soundtracks of upcoming performances.
