A heated exchange has erupted between former Fox News colleagues Megyn Kelly and Mark Levin, ignited by a social media spat involving conservative influencer Jack Posobiec. The controversy began when Levin criticized Posobiec for displaying a rosary at the recent AmericaFest hosted by Turning Point USA. Levin, who is Jewish, referred to Posobiec as a “crackpot,” prompting Kelly to defend him vehemently on social media.
Kelly’s response came swiftly after Levin’s remarks. She tweeted on December 6, 2023, “Off to go pray the beautiful rosary @JackPosobiec gave me, like virtually all Christians do, which doesn’t make us ‘crackpots’ no matter what some old, angry anti-Christian nut on weekend Fox says.” Her comment aimed at Levin emphasized her frustration with his accusations and suggested personal shortcomings regarding his career at Fox News.
In retaliation, Levin, 68, who hosts the weekend program Life, Liberty and Levin, escalated the feud by promising a more thorough rebuttal during his radio show. He characterized Kelly’s defense of Posobiec as an alignment with “Woke Reich psychos” and labeled her a “click wh*re” who is “not conservative.” Levin has a long-standing reputation as a staunch supporter of Israel and often critiques figures he views as insufficiently conservative.
The conflict intensified as Levin referenced a separate incident involving fitness podcaster Myron Gaines, who was filmed making antisemitic remarks outside the conference. Levin condemned Posobiec for associating with Gaines, asserting, “This is why Hack Jack is widely condemned. NOT because of his faith. That’s HIS repulsive deflective propaganda.”
Levin’s criticism of Kelly did not stop there; he claimed that her support for Posobiec placed her in the same category as other controversial figures, stating, “But, then again, she is no better than her buddy Candace Owens. And now Hack Jack. These are very sinister grifters, folks.”
This flare-up comes in a broader context where Kelly has also challenged other right-wing personalities, including Ben Shapiro and Bari Weiss, accusing them of fostering antisemitism. Her statements have drawn scrutiny from the Anti-Defamation League, which warned that blaming Jewish individuals for antisemitism risks veering into dangerous territory reminiscent of traditional victim-blaming narratives.
Kelly, a prominent media figure known for her impactful interviews and political commentary, previously served as a host on Fox News, while Levin is recognized for his strong conservative opinions and advocacy for Israel. Their public feud reflects ongoing tensions within the right-wing media landscape, where ideological differences often lead to fierce disputes.
