Jim also faced the loss of his parents, Charles Franklin Michels and Elizabeth Ann Kellow Michels, as well as his sister, Etta Ann Stadler. As a father, Jim was a cornerstone of support for his two daughters, Carren McClurg, married to Robert, and Sara Knight, married to Jared. Both daughters experienced their father’s unwavering love and encouragement throughout their lives. Jim took great joy in the lives of his grandchildren: Kyle, Lydia, Ryan, Evan, Cayla, and Audrey.
