Red Bluff Rotary Club Honors Collin Fletcher as Student of the Month

The Red Bluff Rotary Club has named Collin Fletcher, a junior at Red Bluff High School, as its Student of the Month for October 2023. Fletcher was recognized for his exemplary academic performance and positive character, making a significant impact on his school community.

Fletcher’s aspirations include becoming a forensic pathologist or criminologist, reflecting his strong interests in crime, science, and music. He has received multiple accolades, including an award from the American organization recognizing outstanding students.

According to Leandro Vasquez, a math teacher and leadership advisor at Red Bluff High, Fletcher embodies the qualities of a dedicated student. “Collin is a phenomenal student who is respectful, hardworking, and supportive of those around him,” Vasquez stated. She highlighted his natural aptitude for mathematics, noting that he consistently comes prepared, takes thorough notes, and completes his assignments on time.

Vasquez also praised Fletcher’s maturity, particularly his ability to advocate for himself in a thoughtful and responsible manner. “What I appreciate most about Collin is his maturity,” she added. “He contributes positively to the classroom every day, not just academically but as a genuinely kind person.”

Another educator, Taylor Richardson, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing Fletcher’s excellence in her class. “He is a model student for Red Bluff High School,” Richardson remarked, underscoring his dual strength as both a student and a person.

The Red Bluff Rotary Club will hold a monthly recognition event on the second Tuesday of each month. During this event, the school will select a faculty advisor to accompany the Student of the Month to the Rotary meeting at the Red Bluff Elks Lodge. The advisor is expected to meet the student by 11:50 a.m. on the designated date.

Fletcher, along with his parents and faculty advisor, will be guests of the Rotary Club for lunch, where he will receive a framed certificate and a cash award of $100. This recognition not only honors Fletcher’s achievements but also aims to inspire other students within the community.

The Red Bluff Rotary Club continues to play a vital role in supporting local youth, fostering their development through recognition and mentorship programs.
