Boerne High Girls Basketball Triumphs Over Rangers, 52-36

The Boerne High School girls basketball team secured a decisive victory against the Lady Rangers on February 3, 2024, at Smithson Valley, winning by a score of 52-36. With this win, the Lady Hounds improved their district record to 10-2 and overall record to 22-7. The team is set to host Champion on Tuesday before visiting Alamo Heights later this week.

Boerne showcased a strong offensive performance, scoring in double digits across all four quarters. The game began with Boerne taking an early lead of 13-6 after the first quarter. The Lady Hounds intensified their defense in the second quarter, limiting the Rangers to just six points while adding 14 of their own, leading to a comfortable 27-12 advantage at halftime.

Strong Performance Continues Through Third Quarter

The momentum continued into the third quarter, where Boerne outscored the Rangers 13-9, extending their lead to 40-21 by the end of the period. Despite a spirited effort from the Lady Rangers in the fourth quarter, where they scored 15 points, Boerne maintained control, adding 12 points to their tally.

Individual performances were key in this match. Sutherlin Menn led the team with an impressive 18 points, while Emery Reyes contributed 8 points. Both Addison Palluch and Oleyvia Ramos netted 7 points each. Other contributors included Addison Saur with 4 points, and both Hartlee Menn and Melia Gonzalez who added 3 points each, along with JT Hernandez, who scored 2 points.
