Private Party’s Future with AEW: Contract Status and Rumors

Private Party, the dynamic wrestling duo consisting of Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen, may soon return to AEW television. The pair has not been seen since they lost the AEW World Tag Team titles to Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin on January 22, 2025, during an episode of AEW Dynamite.

As of June 2025, it was reported that the contracts for both members of Private Party were expected to expire “very soon,” with WWE expressing preliminary interest in signing them. However, a recent update from Fightful Select indicates that both Kassidy and Quen remain under contract with AEW, although the expiration dates of their agreements do not align perfectly.

Inquiries made by Fightful revealed that the likelihood of seeing Private Party back in AEW is higher than them transitioning to WWE at this time. A representative stated, “we could expect to see them in AEW before we would WWE.”

Since their title loss to The Hurt Syndicate, Private Party has participated in just one match. They appeared at the House of Glory pay-per-view event, HOG City of Dreamz, held at NYC Arena on March 15, 2025. The team has a storied history with AEW, having made their debut on June 29, 2019, at the promotion’s second-ever event, AEW Fyter Fest. They achieved significant recognition when they defeated The Young Bucks to secure the AEW World Tag Team titles on the October 30, 2024, edition of Dynamite titled Fright Night.

As fans and analysts speculate about the duo’s future, the wrestling community is keenly awaiting official announcements regarding their potential return to the ring. With their unique style and fan-favorite status, Private Party’s comeback could significantly impact the AEW landscape.
