Firefighters were first dispatched to a residential fire at 2460 25th St. SW, where heavy flames were visible from the porch and garage. Quick action by the crew ensured that all residents were evacuated safely. However, live wires were discovered on the ground, prompting immediate notification to Ohio Edison. The blaze was extinguished without further injuries, but the cause remains under investigation.

Shortly after, reports emerged of a high-rise fire at 1791 Vernon Odom Blvd. Firefighters found flames inside apartment 108, leading to the displacement of one individual. The quick response helped prevent the situation from worsening.
