BREAKING: Patricia “Pat” Anne Huber, a cherished physician and community member, passed away on December 7, 2025, at St. Luke’s Fountain Hill, at the age of 77. Her family, friends, and colleagues are mourning the loss of a remarkable woman known for her warmth, intelligence, and dedication to both her patients and loved ones.
Born on July 15, 1948, in Coopersburg, Patricia was the beloved daughter of Maurice Duane Huber and Jean Anne Fretz. She enjoyed a fulfilling personal and professional life, having spent over 35 years with her loving husband, Dr. Steve Sisson, and raising her daughter, Dana Sisson, who she regarded as her best friend.
Pat’s academic achievements were impressive. She graduated from the University of Rochester and earned her M.D. from the University of Texas at Galveston. Her residency at the University of Pennsylvania laid the foundation for a distinguished career, where she was known for her commitment to patient care and compassion.
In addition to her medical career, Patricia was passionate about cooking, gardening, and reading. She often gathered friends and family around the table, sharing her culinary creations and love for good food. Her artistic flair was also evident in her floral arrangements, a hobby she pursued through various classes.
Patricia’s kindness extended beyond her family; she was an advocate for animals and found comfort in her beloved cats, Toby and Russo. Her faith was an integral part of her life, serving as an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to the community.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. R. Steven Sisson; her daughter, Dana; and her nephew, Jeff Huber. Patricia was preceded in death by her two brothers, Rick and Ed Huber.
Memorial services are set for Sunday, December 28, 2025. Calling hours will be held from 1-2 p.m. at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, located at 150 Elm St, Emmaus, PA 18049. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m., officiated by Mother Laura Howell.
