UPDATE: In a major boost for Georgia football, 4-star cornerback Jerry Outhouse Jr. has officially committed to the Bulldogs for the 2027 class. The announcement came just moments ago on March 6, 2024, during a live reveal on CBS Sports’ YouTube channel.
Outhouse, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound standout from Fort Worth, Texas, chose Georgia over top contenders including Texas Tech, Florida, Arizona State, and UCLA. His decision adds significant talent to Georgia’s secondary, which has been actively strengthened through the transfer portal this cycle.
“I felt the love every time I visited,” Outhouse stated. “I’m going to come in, day in and day out, and give 110 percent.” This commitment marks Outhouse as the nation’s No. 25 cornerback and the 185th prospect overall, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
This commitment also makes Outhouse the sixth player to join Georgia’s 2027 recruiting class and the second defensive back, following five-star Donte Wright from Long Beach, California. Wright is still planning to take six official visits, as reported by Rivals.com.
Georgia has been busy enhancing its defensive roster, having already secured cornerbacks Gentry Williams and Braylon Conely, as well as safeties Khalil Barnes and Ja’Marley Riddle from the transfer portal, along with six defensive back signees in the 2026 class.
Outhouse will work under the guidance of defensive backs coach Donte Williams, with whom he expressed a strong connection. “The relationship between me and Donte is something special,” he told 247Sports. “Everyone sees how many guys they’ve put in the draft. I feel like if I go there, it would be something special.”
As Georgia continues to build its defensive strength, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how this commitment impacts their upcoming season. Outhouse’s dedication and talent signal promising developments for the Bulldogs as they aim for another championship run.
