Hawaii Child Rape Fugitive Arrested in Massachusetts
URGENT UPDATE: A woman wanted for child rape in Hawaii has been arrested in Worcester, Massachusetts. Authorities took Coleen Kuamo`o, also known as Malama Kuamo`o, into custody after she was tracked down by the U.S. Marshals Service, confirming her wanted status for multiple sexual assault charges.
The arrest took place on Thursday, following a collaboration between the Maui Police Department and the Massachusetts Marshals. Kuamo`o, aged 43, faces serious charges including one count of sexual assault in the first degree and three counts of sexual assault in the third degree. She is accused of assaulting a child in Wailuku, Hawaii.
Acting U.S. Marshal for Massachusetts, Kevin Neal, emphasized the commitment of law enforcement to bring fugitives to justice, stating, “Anyone who thinks they can flee across the country to avoid facing justice is mistaken.” This swift action reflects the unwavering resolve of the U.S. Marshals Service to track down fugitives, regardless of where they attempt to hide.
In a related report, the Boston Police Department revealed that between 10 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to 299 incidents. The incidents included two robberies, six aggravated assaults, five thefts from vehicles, two stolen cars, and 25 miscellaneous larceny cases.
Several arrests were made in connection with various offenses. Notable among them are:
– Shaneya Hollins, charged with operating a vehicle in violation of license class.
– Dominique Hines, facing felony possession of a firearm.
– Kerri Dunbar and Tomongo Bey, both with external warrants.
As law enforcement continues to address public safety, the arrest of Kuamo`o serves as a reminder of the serious nature of these crimes and the ongoing efforts to ensure that justice is served.
