Pilot Severely Injured in Urgent Ultralight Plane Crash in Escalante

BREAKING: A pilot has sustained severe injuries following an ultralight plane crash in Escalante, Utah, earlier today. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. when the pilot, who has not yet been identified, took off from the Escalante Airport.

According to Wade Mathews with the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, the ultralight aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff on the east end of the airport.
