Powerball Strikes Again: Michigan Ticket Wins $1 Million Twice in a Week!

UPDATE: A Powerball ticket sold in Michigan has just won $1 million in the drawing held on December 13, 2023, marking the second time this week that a Michigander has hit the jackpot. According to the Michigan Lottery, the winning ticket matched the five white balls: 1, 28, 31, 57, and 58.

This latest win adds to the excitement as no one claimed the Powerball jackpot during the Saturday drawing, pushing the estimated jackpot for the next drawing on December 15, 2023, to an astonishing $1.1 billion ($503.4 million cash value).

Earlier this week, another ticket sold in Michigan also matched five white balls in the December 10 drawing, resulting in a $1 million prize. The winning streak has positioned Michigan as a hotbed for lottery luck, with additional tickets worth $2 million sold in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

The jackpot climb is drawing in players nationwide, with the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot set at an eye-watering 1 in 292.2 million. Meanwhile, five Match 5 tickets worth $1 million each were also sold across the country, in states including California, Florida, New Jersey, and Virginia.

In a noteworthy past win, the largest Powerball jackpot ticket sold in Michigan was worth $842.4 million and was purchased at Food Castle in Grand Blanc in January 2024.

Don’t miss out! The next Powerball drawing is set for 10:59 p.m. on December 15. Players in Michigan can buy tickets in-store and online until 9:45 p.m. on drawing nights. Tickets cost $2 each, with the option to add the Power Play feature for an additional $1, potentially multiplying non-jackpot prizes by up to ten times.

As excitement builds, players are urged to grab their tickets and join the frenzy. Stay tuned for the latest updates and keep an eye on your numbers!
