According to the District Attorney’s Office, Bazyan was found guilty of multiple charges: two counts of attempted murder, one count of animal cruelty, two counts of false imprisonment, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. The jury confirmed allegations of causing great bodily injury and the personal use of a knife during the attack.
The chaos unfolded on December 26, 2021, when Bazyan’s erratic behavior prompted his family to call the police. After officers left, Bazyan armed himself with three large knives, trapping his parents in their bedroom. The attack escalated violently; Bazyan assaulted his parents with his fists and a cane before turning his rage on the family cat, stabbing her nine times and attempting to asphyxiate her.
