Small Plane Crash-Lands in Long Beach Park, Injuring Pilot and Pedestrian

UPDATE: A small aircraft made an emergency landing in Heartwell Park, Long Beach at approximately 4 p.m. on October 21, 2023, injuring both the pilot and a pedestrian. According to the Long Beach Fire Department, the plane, which landed on a soccer field, caused significant disruption and concern amongst park-goers.

The plane was found resting on its belly with its landing gear broken, though the fuselage remained intact. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene to assist the injured.
