BREAKING: Three young men have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting near Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) confirmed the arrests of the suspects, aged 19 to 22, linked to the July 3 homicide of an unidentified male victim.
The arrests occurred following a tactical operation by a SWAT team on October 24. Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on the 2500 block of Wallace Street in Oakland, where they apprehended 19-year-old Jeremiah Neal and 20-year-old Elijah Silver, both facing murder charges.
Additionally, 22-year-old Jesus Gabriel Cendejas was arrested at a residence on 600 Francisco Street in San Francisco. Police reportedly discovered a firearm during this search, adding to the gravity of the situation.
The victim, severely injured during the incident on Vandewater Street—an alley between Bay and Francisco streets—succumbed to his injuries on July 8. Authorities believe a fourth suspect may have been involved in the shooting but was killed in a separate homicide in San Francisco in September.
This incident is part of a troubling pattern, but it comes amid a broader context where San Francisco is on track to record its lowest homicide rate since 1954, with only 22 homicides reported so far in 2025.
Residents are urged to help with the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD tip line at 415-575-4444 or text TIP411, starting the message with “SFPD.” Tipsters can remain anonymous.
As this story develops, the community watches closely, grappling with the implications of violence in their neighborhoods. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
