Authorities responded to a call from a concerned citizen who spotted the men rummaging through the dumpster. Upon arrival, police intercepted a Chevrolet Malibu as it was leaving the scene. The suspects—a 42-year-old man from Brooklyn and a 44-year-old man from Cleveland—admitted to their actions. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the Cleveland man was wanted on outstanding criminal charges. He was found in possession of bags containing suspected heroin and amphetamine, along with syringes and a rubber tourniquet. Additionally, his driver’s license was suspended, compounding the severity of the situation.

The officer’s investigation revealed that the woman was obstructing their inquiry and she was subsequently taken into custody.
In a separate incident, police reported a burglary at Park Place Apartments on October 7, where $800 in cash was stolen from an apartment. Investigators noted that the door showed signs of damage, but no clear evidence of a break-in was present.
Additionally, between September 28 and 30, numerous valuable items—including a 45-inch TV and an antique loveseat—were stolen from North Park Senior Living, with no signs of forced entry.
The police blotter also noted a 58-year-old homeless man cited for false identification after rummaging through parked cars outside Statewide Express on October 14. Officers found him after receiving calls about suspicious behavior.
Most notably, a 50-year-old man from Middleburg Heights was arrested for driving under the influence around 2:30 a.m. on October 12.
