URGENT UPDATE: Two former employees have been arrested in connection with the murder of Mark Calcagni, the general manager of San Francisco’s iconic Condor Club, who was fatally shot outside his Santa Rosa home on October 3, 2025.
Santa Rosa police confirmed today that the suspects, a 43-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman from Dublin, were taken into custody following a meticulous investigation involving witness interviews and surveillance footage. Authorities allege that the male suspect waited for Calcagni to return home before fatally shooting him, while the female suspect assisted in planning the attack.
The shocking incident occurred on Brookwood Avenue, where Calcagni was shot in front of his residence. The police received a 911 call from a neighbor shortly after the incident, prompting a swift law enforcement response.
Both suspects were identified as former employees of the Condor Club, noted as the first topless bar in the United States. The club holds significant cultural importance and has been a fixture of San Francisco nightlife for decades. Following the arrest, police indicated the investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with further information to contact the Santa Rosa Police Department’s Violent Crimes Investigations Team at 543-3590.
