Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the armed home invasion of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, which occurred last month. The incident involved four masked men who targeted the artist’s residence in Florida, taking advantage of his absence. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 19-year-old Pedro Rodriguez, who faces multiple charges including armed home invasion robbery, false imprisonment, grand theft, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver.
The home invasion took place on February 15, 2024, when four men reportedly held 6ix9ine’s mother at gunpoint. At the time of the incident, the rapper was not at home, as he was participating in a livestream with social media influencer Jack Doherty. The suspects entered through the garage and searched for valuables, primarily targeting car keys and cash. After the invasion, they fled the scene in one of the rapper’s vehicles.
As of now, Rodriguez is the only suspect arrested, but authorities have indicated that their investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement is actively pursuing additional leads and potential suspects.
In a video posted on social media, 6ix9ine expressed his outrage over the incident. He condemned the actions of the intruders, highlighting the vulnerability of his family during his absence. “People saw that I was on livestream with Jack Doherty. They took that opportunity to do some p***y s**t,” he stated, emphasizing his disappointment that such an attack would occur while his mother was home alone.
The rapper, who has been under house arrest, is facing separate legal issues related to probation violations. He is expected to serve a 90-day sentence soon, which raises concerns about how these ongoing legal troubles will affect his case regarding the home invasion.
As the investigation continues, 6ix9ine and his family remain hopeful for justice in this alarming situation. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
