Marshall Partners with Sierra-at-Tahoe for Ski Clinic

Marshall has announced its role as the official medical provider for the ski clinic at Sierra-at-Tahoe, coinciding with the resort’s 79th season opening. This partnership aims to enhance the health and safety of skiers by providing specialized on-site medical care directly at the resort.

Comprehensive Care for Skiers

The Marshall Ski Clinic will operate on Fridays from 11:00 to 16:30 and on weekends from 08:30 to 16:30. It is designed to cater to the immediate healthcare needs of skiers and snowboarders visiting the popular ski destination. “The Marshall Ski Clinic at Sierra-at-Tahoe represents an exciting expansion of our commitment to the health and well-being of our region’s active population,” said Martin Entwistle, M.B., Ch.B., FRCSEd, Chief of Medical Affairs.

Entwistle emphasized that the clinic will be staffed by a team of trained and experienced professionals. They are prepared to provide the necessary care to help guests return to the slopes safely and quickly. The clinic will leverage Marshall’s expertise in sports injury treatment, alongside their state-of-the-art physical therapy facilities.

Marshall’s Healthcare Network

Marshall is an independent, full-service healthcare system with over six decades of experience in providing advanced medical care. It operates a comprehensive network that includes Marshall Hospital and various clinics in Placerville, Cameron Park, and Georgetown. Notably, the newly opened 25,000-square-foot medical facility in El Dorado Hills features the Center for Sports Rehabilitation and Active Living, which encompasses sports medicine, orthopedics, and physical therapy.

This facility is strategically located just off Highway 50, adjacent to Marshall’s new walk-in orthopedic clinic, enhancing access to healthcare for both locals and visitors.

Sierra-at-Tahoe is recognized as the closest major ski area to Sacramento and the Bay Area. It boasts 2,000 acres of skiable terrain with 50 trails and a vertical drop of 2,212 feet, catering to skiers of all levels. The resort is equipped with 14 lifts, making it a convenient option for those looking to enjoy winter sports.

“We are excited to welcome the expert team at Marshall to the medical clinic at Sierra-at-Tahoe,” stated Dan Healy, General Manager and Vice President of the resort. “This partnership will deliver high-quality care to our guests just steps away from skiing and snowboarding, helping our community thrive on the mountain.”
