Lisa Atherton Takes Charge as CEO of Textron, Succeeding Scott Donnelly

Lisa Atherton has officially stepped into the role of president and CEO of Textron, effective January 4, 2026. She succeeds Scott Donnelly, who has transitioned to the position of executive chairman of the board after leading the company since late 2009.

Leadership Experience and Vision

Atherton brings nearly 20 years of extensive leadership experience within Textron’s various business divisions. Her most recent position was as president and CEO of Bell, a subsidiary known for its aerospace innovations. Prior to that, she held the same title at Textron Systems, another of the company’s key subsidiaries.
