Dr. Timothy Hamilton, a distinguished cardiovascular surgeon, has joined the Nevada Heart & Vascular Center, enhancing the team’s expertise in cardiac care. With over 25 years of experience, Hamilton previously served as the medical director of the cardiovascular and thoracic oncology surgery program at a prominent Las Vegas hospital.
In his new role, Hamilton aims to expand the range of cardiovascular care offered to patients in the Las Vegas area. “Dr. Hamilton is a great addition to our practice,” stated Dr. Tony Alamo, Chief Medical Officer at the Nevada Heart & Vascular Center. “His extensive skill and knowledge in cardiology will further help expand our cardiovascular care for the people of Las Vegas.”
Educational Background and Professional Credentials
Hamilton is a native of Nevada, holding a pre-professional biology degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and a medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has attained board certification from both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
His professional training includes significant time at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he honed his surgical skills before returning to his home state.
