The Carthage Community Foundation (CCF) has announced the opening of its spring grant application period, beginning on March 16, 2024. This initiative invites local 501(c)(3) organizations and other IRS-approved entities, including civic, educational, and faith-based groups, to apply for funding aimed at enhancing the quality of life in the Carthage area.
Applications can be submitted online at http://www.cfozarks.org/applyforgrants and must be completed by 11:45 PM on April 9, 2024. The foundation is particularly interested in supporting projects that address existing and emerging needs within the community. Focus areas for funding include Health and Human Services, Education and Youth Services, Arts, Culture, History and Community Beautification, and Food and Nutrition.
CCF typically prioritizes one-time projects and capital or equipment purchases. However, the Board is open to considering requests for operating expenses if a compelling case is presented. Applicants can request up to $10,000 during this grant cycle.
Special Funding Opportunity for Music Programs
In addition to the general grant applications, CCF is also accepting separate applications for the Vivian Leon Fund for the Musical Arts. This fund specifically supports 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, and colleges that provide classical music programs, with a particular emphasis on piano performance, in Jasper and Newton Counties. The grant proposals for this fund should range between $1,000 and $4,000, with the same deadline of April 9, 2024.
The foundation plans to announce grant recipients in mid-May, offering a vital opportunity for local organizations to secure funding that can significantly impact the community. Interested parties are encouraged to review the detailed application guidelines and submit their proposals promptly.
