Terry’s House, a nonprofit organization providing temporary accommodation for families of patients at Community Regional Medical Center, celebrated its 15th anniversary on April 22, 2025. The event brought together team members, families, and donors who have supported the facility over the years.
Located in Downtown Fresno, directly across from Community Regional Medical Center, Terry’s House has become a crucial resource since its establishment in 2011. Over the past 15 years, it has provided shelter to more than 10,000 families from all 50 states and 34 countries. The facility spans 17,500 square feet and features 20 rooms, allowing families to stay free of charge during their loved ones’ hospital stays.
A significant highlight of the anniversary celebration was the announcement of a $2.5 million endowment from an anonymous donor. This donation is designated for the upkeep and operational costs of Terry’s House, marking the largest single gift the organization has ever received.
Community Health System CEO Craig Wagoner expressed gratitude for the continued support from the community, highlighting the importance of Terry’s House in fostering family connections during challenging times. “Terry’s House is more than just a place to stay; it is a home where families can find comfort and support while navigating the complexities of medical care,” Wagoner stated.
