BREAKING: The Powerful United Ladies Striving to Elevate (PULSE) organization has just launched its monthly Sister’s Circle events, designed to empower women on campus through community support. This initiative aims to create a safe, engaging environment for women to connect, reflect, and share their experiences while pursuing personal growth.
Held monthly, Sister’s Circle events are more than just gatherings; they are a lifeline for many students seeking camaraderie and understanding in their academic journey. Valentina Sandoval, the educational coordinator for PULSE, emphasized the importance of these gatherings, stating, “Sister Circle has fostered a supportive and safe environment for all women on campus.” The events promote relaxation and creativity, allowing participants to decompress from their busy college lives.
The latest Sister’s Circle event, titled “Ink & Intention,” took place earlier this month. It showcased various activities that encourage self-expression and emotional release. Sandoval noted past events, such as the “Lego Flowers” workshop in October, where students crafted LEGO creations that symbolize personal growth and creativity, reinforcing the message that “just like flowers, we bloom in our own unique way.”
Organizers collaborate closely with the Multicultural Resource Center to curate engaging themes that resonate with the students. Briana Santana, PULSE’s treasurer, explained, “We take inspiration from our own interests and events that we would personally like to see on campus.” This approach ensures that each Sister’s Circle event is not only enjoyable but also educational, fostering discussions around women’s empowerment and personal development.
Attendees have noted the transformative impact of these events. Mwende Wagner, a senior advisor for PULSE, expressed, “Sister’s Circle is important because it creates a welcoming space where you can meet new people who are often going through experiences similar to your own.” With snacks, engaging activities, and meaningful discussions, each event provides a unique opportunity for personal connection and reflection.
Sister’s Circle is also linked to PULSE’s broader mission, which includes community events such as an annual breast cancer walk and the Women Educating, Elevating and Empowering Leadership Conference. These initiatives aim to raise awareness and provide resources for women, making a significant impact on the local community.
With the next Sister’s Circle event on the horizon, attendees are encouraged to join and experience the supportive atmosphere. The organization welcomes newcomers at any time, ensuring that everyone can find a community and engage in meaningful conversations.
PULSE continues to be a beacon of support for women on campus, and the Sister’s Circle events exemplify its commitment to fostering empowerment and connection. As the organization grows, so does its influence, creating a vibrant community where women can thrive together.
Stay tuned for upcoming events and get involved in this empowering movement!
