Children Invited to Halloween Campfire Storytelling Event Tomorrow
URGENT UPDATE: Children in Ashburnham are invited to a special Halloween storytelling event TOMORROW, October 23, from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at the Stevens Memorial Library. Renowned storyteller Todd Goodwin will lead the “Halloween Campfire for Children,” promising an unforgettable evening filled with seasonal tales.
Goodwin, a native of Fitchburg and a lifelong New Englander, captivates audiences with his unique storytelling style. He transforms the library into a “campfire” setting, where imagination reigns supreme. “Around the campfire, there are no costumes or sets—just the face and voice of the teller,” Goodwin explained, emphasizing the importance of the listeners’ imaginations in transporting them to different realms.
With over 45 years of experience, Goodwin combines storytelling, music, and humor, drawing inspiration from his camping adventures, literature, and his career as a drama and history teacher. He has performed across schools, libraries, and community centers, making this event a must-attend for families looking to celebrate Halloween in a creative way.
This free, family-friendly event is hosted by the Friends of the Stevens Memorial Library and is designed to engage young minds in a magical storytelling experience. “I enjoy watching listeners’ faces as they use their imagination to get into a story,” Goodwin shared. “And they always do!”
For more details or to register, visit the library’s official website at ashburnhamlibrary.org. Don’t miss this opportunity to ignite your child’s imagination and enjoy a night of enchanting stories!
