The Eagles (5-2) relied on Hurts’ precision as he completed 19 of 23 passes, including two touchdown connections with A.J. Brown. DeVonta Smith also shone with a career-high 183 receiving yards, capped off by a stunning 79-yard touchdown. The Eagles also lost two key defensive players, Azeez Ojulari and Jeremiah Trotter, while starting cornerback Adoree’ Jackson was sidelined in the third quarter.
Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo faced scrutiny but executed a masterful opening drive, leading to a touchdown that set the tone for the match. The Eagles methodically advanced 75 yards in 12 plays, consuming 8:01 off the clock and converting two fourth downs along the way.
As the Eagles celebrate this much-needed win, they prepare to face the New York Giants next Sunday, while the Vikings will head to Los Angeles for a Thursday night matchup against the Chargers.
