Colorado Resorts Blanketed with Snow: Beaver Creek Hits 8 Inches
UPDATE: A powerful storm system swept through Colorado’s mountains overnight, delivering over 8 inches of snow to Beaver Creek Resort, marking an exciting start to the ski season. As of Friday morning, October 24, 2023, Vail Mountain also reported significant snowfall, with around 6 inches accumulating, raising anticipation among winter sports enthusiasts.
The latest reports confirm that many resorts along the I-70 corridor experienced early-season snowfall, making this an urgent development for skiers and snowboarders eager for winter activities. Beaver Creek emerged as the clear winner, boasting 8 inches according to its snow stake cam.
In contrast, Summit County resorts saw lesser amounts. Copper Mountain recorded about 2 inches, while Loveland reported 3 inches on its website. Keystone noted “a few inches” via social media, and Arapahoe Basin logged 2 inches but has yet to announce an official opening day.
