The Halloween costume choice of President Donald Trump’s grandson, Luke Trump, has garnered attention as he plans to dress up as a $100 bill. This revelation came from Lara Trump, wife of Eric Trump, in a video shared online on October 25, 2023. In the video, Lara explained that while she and her daughter Carolina will be dressing as characters from the Netflix series KPop Demon Hunters, Luke’s choice reflects a humorous take on the family’s perception of wealth.
Lara Trump mentioned, “Now, my son was very interesting. He decided like a month ago. He’s like, ‘I know what I want to be for Halloween.’ I was like, ‘Great. Give me the order so I can get this done.’ He was like, ‘I’m going to be money.’” She further emphasized the connection to the Trump legacy by stating, “My son, Luke, is going to be money. So, I got him… it looks like a giant $100 bill.”
As the family prepares for Halloween, Eric Trump has not yet decided on his costume. This playful choice comes at a time when the Trump family has seen significant financial success. According to a recent report from Reuters, Eric and his brother Donald Trump Jr. have contributed an additional $864 million to the family’s wealth in 2023 through various investments. This figure marks a substantial increase from the $51 million the Trump Organization earned in the previous year.
The report also highlighted a stark change in the organization’s revenue from cryptocurrency, with only $579,000 generated in the first half of 2024 compared to $802 million in the same period of 2025. Amidst this financial backdrop, at least one investor, Guren “Bobby” Zhou, is currently under investigation in the U.K. for money laundering, raising questions about the ethics of some investment practices associated with the Trump family.
As the Halloween festivities approach, the Trump family’s lighthearted costume choices juxtapose with the serious financial and legal matters surrounding them, illustrating the unique blend of public persona and private enterprise that characterizes the Trumps.
