URGENT UPDATE: Warren police are urgently seeking public assistance to identify a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a 12-year-old boy on Monday evening. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. near 13 Mile Rd and Moceri Circle, just west of Schoenherr.
The young victim was riding a minibike when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, leaving him with significant injuries. Authorities report the child is currently in serious but stable condition at a local hospital.
Witnesses describe the vehicle as a newer-model Chevy Equinox, either gray or black in color, last seen heading west on 13 Mile Rd. Investigators are reviewing video footage from the area and interviewing potential witnesses to piece together the events leading up to this tragic incident.
