URGENT UPDATE: Trenton is gearing up for its highly anticipated holiday celebrations on December 5, 2024, featuring a spectacular Christmas parade and the official lighting of the city’s towering Christmas tree. The festivities kick off at 3:00 PM as the parade journeys through all four wards of the city, spreading joy and cheer.
The centerpiece of this year’s celebration is a magnificent 43-foot tall Norway Spruce tree, freshly delivered from Pun’kin Hollow Farms in Stockton, NJ. Adorned with over 19,000 LED lights and topped with a dazzling 48-inch LED star, this 35-year-old tree will illuminate City Hall, guiding Santa Claus and his sleigh right to Trenton.
The parade promises an enchanting experience for families, featuring festive floats, carolers, and a special appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Claus, who will distribute gifts to children along the route. If you can’t make it to the parade, don’t worry! The celebration continues at City Hall with live musical and dance performances, remarks from the Mayor and city officials, and a cozy warming station offering hot chocolate and cookies.
As the parade concludes at City Hall, Santa and Mrs. Claus will join the Mayor and other officials for the ceremonial lighting of the tree at 5:00 PM. Following this magical moment, gifts under the tree will be handed out to local kids, creating unforgettable memories for families in the community. Afterward, families can capture the magic with photos alongside Santa in the atrium of City Hall.
