New After-School Art Program Launches January 29 for Kids

URGENT UPDATE: A brand-new after-school art program, Art Lab Thursdays, is set to launch on January 29, providing children with an exciting and creative outlet. This initiative, led by the Pant Panther City Artists, aims to inspire kids aged 6-12 to explore various art materials in a supportive environment.

Running every Thursday from 4:00 to 5:30 PM, Art Lab Thursdays offers a relaxed space where children can unleash their creativity. Each session kicks off with a brief, guided introduction, followed by open studio time, allowing kids to paint, build, draw, sculpt, and experiment at their own pace. The emphasis is on embracing the artistic process rather than striving for perfection.

This program stands out by prioritizing creativity over comparison, fostering confidence, and encouraging joyful expression through making. Parents can take advantage of flexible registration options, including a $25 drop-in fee for individual sessions or a $95 monthly membership covering four Thursdays.

Art Lab Thursdays promises a rich array of activities, including paint and mixed media, clay and sculpture, drawing and mark-making, as well as collage and building materials. With the guidance of dedicated instructors from Panther City Artists, a Fort Worth-based nonprofit committed to inclusive, process-oriented art education, children will receive the support they need to thrive.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity for your child to engage in the arts. Registration is available online at www.panthercityartists.org. This program not only nurtures creativity but also builds essential skills and confidence in young artists.

Make sure to secure a spot for your child in this innovative program—spaces are expected to fill quickly!
